Merry Christmas

Today is Christmas Eve, my favourite day of the year! It is the day when all the cards have been delivered, all the presents have been wrapped, the chocolate tin is full  and the fridge is bursting with mouth watering delights. It is a day full of expectation, anticipation and excitement for tomorrow.    It is also the day when for many years I helped out with our local church nativity puppet show. This involved receiving a hastily written script a few days before, one dress rehearsal at 1pm and a main performance at 4pm in front of packed pews of over excited children and their parents. Behind the curtain we (the narrators and puppeteers) threw ourselves into delivering the Christmas story with a mixture of carols, pantomime banter and irreverent jokes....

Christmas is Coming!

Suddenly it’s mid November and Winter is approaching fast. The nights are drawing in, the heating is on, I’m lighting scented candles and Strictly is back on TV. All the ingredients for cosy nights in and some comforting normality during the second lockdown.   Usually I’d be busy preparing for my Christmas Fairs but sadly I don’t think they will be happening this year. So instead I’m making sure my Etsy shop is well stocked and I’ve added a Christmas section where you can find festive decorations, gifts and my charity Christmas card.
